Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Free consultation to talk to clients to talk about the situation and solutions. All services are performed remotely and securely. We meet all clients by Zoom during the initial consultation. When we agree to work together, I send an email from my software and the client creates a portal. From there, questions are answered, and documentation is attached. After answering all questions, the preparation begins. Questions are asked by email, phone, and text. Upon completion, results are sent by e-mail, payment is made, and the document is sent to the client for review and signature.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an accountant for over 6 years. My background is in financial services. I have experience as an internal controls and compliance manager, manager of accounting and operations, and an accounting manager. I have an MBA and an MS in Public Accounting. I have been preparing taxes since 2001. My knowledge lies in finding deductions.

How did you get started in this business?
I continued to prepare taxes for friends and family after leaving the tax office I was working for. Their pricing was high when I started and has only increased. I decided to help others at a flat, affordable rate. My other businesses have evolved and come about since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Businesses (Schedule C, Small, Medium, & Large), Transportation, Foreign Income, Alien residents, truck Drivers...many, many, industries (business and personal)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am proud to be expanding my business this year and hiring contractors. I am also proud that I have finished qualifying to work contractor positions with the federal government and the state of North Carolina.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone you are comfortable with, form a connection, and can answer your questions. If the answer is not known and the pro you are asking says let me research and get back to you, you know that is an honest pro.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Even though the cost will be the 1st question asked, it should honestly not be the 1st. The client should make sure they hire a pro that has the knowledge and experience required to complete the task. After considering the financial needs of your ever-evolving family, you should make sure can fill those needs. Your pro should also not only be able to meet those needs but also be able to keep up with those changing needs.
