Our passion at Colorful Creative is helping business owners drill down to a genuine, meaningful brand identity and then working with them to bring that distinctive brand to life through. This holistic approach is a big part of what makes us so effective. But it’s what comes next that really separates Colorful Creative from other branding companies: We assist clients in discovering and connecting a charitable mission to their core business and tell this story while integrating sustainability and fostering inclusivity and diversity practices.
Why? Well, we have the crazy idea that part of the reason we’re all here is to help each other. At the end of the Colorful Creative process, clients are not only poised for the kind of success that follows a seamlessly integrated brand identity, but they gain a deeper understanding of how to support the people and places that matter to them.
As part of our business model, Colorful Creative donates 10% of our profits to the Colorful Creative Collective, a group of non-profits we love and whose missions match our values and goals. A few of the non-profits that kicked off the Colorful Creative Collective actually started as clients. Some support the immediate community around Colorful Creative’s home base in North Carolina, while a few are national organizations that speak to Mandy’s heart. And if yournon-profit joins the Colorful Creative client roster, you AUTOMATICALLY become part of the Collective. A company that gives back to the client?! Yep, it’s just how we do things here!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As your point of contact, Creative Director Mandy Barrett works closely with you and your team to create a timeline for your brand launch, develop strategies to maximize your brand as you move forward and manages a diverse group of experts who help make it all happen. Clients typically work with Colorful Creative for about 12 weeks when they go through a full branding series which includes everything from the deep dive evaluation of your brand, the creation of your mission and logo, to a full set of design concepts, strategies, and messaging that takes your brand to the next level. If you choose to also develop a website with Colorful Creative, you may spend an additional 9 weeks working with us to fully build out your online presence.
How did you get started in this business?
I’ve been in the world of graphic design for 25 years (wow, time flies), with a lot of that spent running my own business as a branding professional. Colorful Creative is the synthesis of both my visual design expertise and personal core values—a way to help clients make their professional dreams come true while also making the world a better place.
