FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will find out what my client needs for service and have them fill out an intake form so that I am aware of any health concers. I check in with my new clients about pressure and areas of the body they would like focus in. During a massage session I frequently check in with my clients to make sure they are getting the pain release they came in for so that they will leave feeling healed and rejuvenated. (Disclaimer: Some clients may take more than one session to get the healing they are looking for.)

How did you get started in this business?

I started working as a licensed Massage Therapist when it was suggested to me in 2009 by a former instructor. She said that I had a very healing touch and I should consider Massage Therapy as a career. I never thought about being a Massage Therapist but after my brother died in 2010, I decided that life was too short and I should go for it. I realized in school that this is my passion and have stuck with it every since, growing my practice and knowledge over the years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a variety of clients. Mothers, Athletes, Health Care Professionals, Military Vets, Teachers. Mostly clients looking for relaxation or pain relief.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Make sure your therapist specializes in the therapy you are looking for. Each therapist will present a different experience for each client. The client must know what type of therapy and healing they need in order to choose the right therapist.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Clients should consider if they have any medical conditions that would prevent them from being able to receive massage.
