Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get to know my clients on a personal level so I know what they are needing in financial services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working in this field for over 15 years. I have an education in Accounting, and experience in Auditing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Please view my rates on my website www.manitaxes.webs.com/ratesandfees.htm
How did you get started in this business?
In 2003, I started working for a tax preparation company in the city where I live in, and then in 2005 I went to work for the IRS Lock-box. Since, I was surrounded by all different kinds of tax related software, products, and services I chose to open my own company in June of 2007. That is when I started preparing taxes from home for only friends and family. But I eventually branched out, and now I have hundreds of regular clients.
Since my company has grown I have had to hire employees to assist in preparing the forms, but I finalize each and every tax form before submission. I work directly with and for you.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have a wide range of individual, small-business, corporation, non-profit organizations, and self-employed clients.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was awarded the 2018 St. Louis Award for Finance and Financial Services, the 2019 St. Louis Award for Finance and Financial Services, and the 2020, 2021, & 2022 St. Louis Award for Finance and Financial Services Hall of Fame. I was also 2019 Top 10 Best Pros by Thervo.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice would be don't just look for someone who provides a service, but a person who loves what they do. This will differentiate the person who is just doing it for the income versus someone who will put in their all for that income.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What services they are needing, what do they need to bring with them, how or can filing or not filing affect them, how did they file previously, what changed from previous year.
