About
Visit me on linkedin under Bud Carlson St. Louis.
My specialty is assisting small, owner operated, businesses under 100 employees. I'm extremely proficient in all accounting tools, whether it's stand-alone software programs like Quickbooks or a merging of QB, Sage, MAS 50, Microsoft GP, with other CRM, inventory or database products. I'm also helpful in obtaining commercial debt financing or expansion financing, relying on banks alone, or a combination with various governmental/agency loan programs.
I enjoy helping businesses succeed, especially in the area of financial oversight. Whether it's a start-up business, a non-profit, an existing business or a business needing succession planning or a selling strategy, I can help. I've developed a unique template for projections and can fine tune projection forecasting on a weekly basis, giving the owner a clear picture of future cash requirements. My clients quickly understand that, although profitability is a goal, survival and success depends on cash flow!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with them or speak with them over the phone, to determine their needs and challenges. For ongoing accounting work, I employ a program, with the client's agreement, to enable me to remotely access their accounting software data and program.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have obtained CPA standings in two states, Missouri and Maine. I have assisted hundreds of businesses in obtaining expansion financing, by making use of the SBA 504 program. And, I continue to help several clients, some local and some remote as their contract CFO. I have extensive experience with accounting and CRM programs, as well as all standard productivity tools like Excel and Access.
