What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The client has to go through a tax interview first. It is also helpful if they have their last tax return copy. I will have them go through my customer portal to upload documents for verification if we are completing the return remotely.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I have trained with H&R Block. I have additional training and received my due diligence certificate Pogram Number CEQXT-T-01072-18-S 1 CE hour Credit. I have prepared taxes now for over 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Prices start at $150. The number of forms determine prices. A simple W-2 starts at $150. Schedule C from $400.
How did you get started in this business?
I starting preparing my own taxes and then I took the training course with H&R Block.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Single, Married and some with EITC.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The playoffs in Kansas City was really exciting. It was my first playoff football game.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would advise to shop around and find someone that you can relate to and feel comfortable discussing your tax situation. Accuracy and honesty is so important in this business.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Should I always expect a refund? What do I do if I owe taxes? How can I save on my tax bill?
