About

The answer is: Help people find tax savings

The question is: What would you even if you didn't get paid?

This is true. My firm started out as a hobby. I had a career that I enjoyed in the banking industry. It was the only job offered out of college. So I took the job. But, I wanted to be a tax accountant, I had a vision to help people find tax savings. So, to scratch that itch, I started doing tax preparation for family and friends for free. Family and friends started referring me. Returns increased in complexity and risk. I started charging for a nominal fee; and, the rest is history.

Frequently asked questions

Our typical process is to discover the client's needs and expectations to determine if there will be a good fit. Once both the client and firm feel there is  a good fit, we proceed with a formal agreement, data gathering, and services. We primarily work virtually with clients; but, are open to meeting face-to-face.

I have a graduate degree in Financial Management and Accounting from Keller Graduate School. I am also a Missouri licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Additionally, I am a Dave Ramsey Endorsed Local Provider (ELP).

I have a base rate for federal tax preparation which starts at $195. I offer deep discounts for the elderly, missionaries, and students.

I started my business as a hobby. Due to growth and more complex service requested, I decided to incorporate and become more formal. I started providing tax service because I enjoy the challenge.

My practice started out providing services to individuals and families. Over the years my customer base has evolved toward self-employed and small business owners. Now my practice also includes business services and tax resolution.

A recent event I am fond of is helping a client drop their tax bill from $95,000 to $45,000.

I would recommend doing your homework. I would even advise that most people do not need a professional to do their taxes. If you have a high school education, you can probably do this yourself. Unless you have complex credits, basis for assets, a business, or something else, you can do this.

However, if you are looking for the peace of mind a professional offers, interview with several accountants. And, ensure you have some type of audit assistance service if your return is reviewed by a taxing authority.

Know what services you are looking for and what type of assurance, or warranties, can be provided for those services. And, remember, you get what you pay for. Are you looking for cheap service; or, a great value?
