Hello, My name is Ellen Jackson and I'm a Manager/Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist for Liberty Tax Service in Columbia Heights. I have 10 years as a Manager, 30 years plus as a Bookkeeper, and 5 years as a Payroll specialist. I love working with numbers helping clients get organized and know where they stand with their Profit and loss, inventory, etc. I've been Managing Liberty Tax C/H for 10 years and I love getting the Client a large refund by finding deductions. I will do whatever it takes to get the job done. I just love it when a client is pleased with my work, it makes me feel good inside. I manage 5 people, I'm connected directly to the IRS. I use Xero Bookkeeping for my Bookkeeping Clients' and ADP for my payroll services.

I asked the client there filing status, self employed, how many w-2's, own owe home, rental property, retired, stock and bond, government employee and military.

I'm one step away from taking the test with the IRS to Open my own Tax Office.

How did you get started in this business?
I started working for Liberty Tax Service January 20, 2014. I have a over 20 yrs doing Bookkeeping and Taxes. I do Business taxes thru Liberty Tax Service I've been Office Manager for Liberty Tax Services for 5 years going 6 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I 've worked with all kind of Clients from Truck drivers, cab drivers, fitness, Cycling, babysitting, Hair Stylist, Barbers, Rental property, Farms, construction companies, S- corp, C-corp, Partnerships, Stock and Home Sales.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm very fond of help client find deductions to help lower their taxes.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would have them contact me because I dot my Isss and cross my tssssss and all my work is gaureenteed.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should make sure that they have someone who can handle there situation. Looking at your documents asked them if they have ever handled certain situation.
