About
Being a solo practitioner with over 25 years experience, I am able to provide a unique level of confidentiality, privacy, and insight for the people i work for. Using a broad range of techniques, I believe in a collaborative approach, where we work together to manage the struggles of life.
Watching people grow and change, becoming healthier in mind, body, and spirit brings me joy as well. Life is difficult enough without feeling like you don't have anyone walking it with you when you're not sure you can do it yourself anymore.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a basic assumption, that something isn't working right, and there is hope that things can start to work better. We spend time getting to know what has worked and what has not worked before, and come up with some excercises and techniques that can be practiced to develop more robust skills at managing/resolving the thing that isn't working.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a master's level licensed psychologist with nearly 35 years of work experience in a variety of settings, including with the military. I am a certified mediator in addition to my psychological training. I have worked with blended families, sexual abusive situations, anger management referrals, and those who have been wounded by the church.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Most of my fee is covered by insurance. I am contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medica, United Healthcare, Aetna, CIGNA, and several other carriers. If a person does not have insurance or does not want to use insurance (due to confidentiality concerns for example), a sliding fee scale can be negotiated.
How did you get started in this business?
As far back as when I was in high school, people found that I was a good listener, and could step into their shoes with them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with a broad spectrum of individuals wrestling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. I have worked with blended families and those families going through the end of the primary relationship. I have worked with veterans struggling with reintegrating back to non-military settings.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for the fit. In this field, the relationship between myself and the person I am working with is the tool through which change occures. If there is not a good fit between us, then the work we could do is hindered, and it's not a good use of time or resources.
