Venthouse Counseling
About
In 2006 I landed in rehab. This started my experience with the mental health field. From feeling like a number, to having everything sugar coated for me, I soon became unimpressed by what the pool of therapists had to offer.
Here at Venthouse, we do the opposite. You matter. You matter enough to be seen fast and to be addressed directly with honesty and compassion.
We see a wide range of folks, from addicts to trauma victims to people just struggling with anxiety and life in general.
Yoy can find reviews on our Facebook page, google, and psychology today.
If you’re ready for help, we’re here for you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We don’t spend much time on paperwork. Within a few minutes of the first session, we get right down to business. We generally send you home with some work too, so that the process can move a bit faster. There’s generally little need to drag therapy on for an extended period of time. We’re not interested in taking your money while you get little in return.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Licensed alcohol and drug counselor and licensed professional counselor. Presidential fellow at Hamline and finished my graduate degree at St Thomas. Sober since 2006.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We take a few types of insurance and work on a sliding scale for those that need it. We also have grant money to help Those with gambling issues.
How did you get started in this business?
I was a chef when I ended up in rehab. My criticisms of many aspects of this field led me to go to school and try to make a change.
