I enjoy seeing clients take charge of their choices and changing their lives to suit their needs. I love helping clients set and meet personal and couple goals. I challenge my clients and also reinforce their strengths and attempts at being their own agents of change. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The client will contact me and I will answer any questions they have, check insurance, and then direct them to my website, valentinecounseling.com to the forms page to print and fill out the forms before our first session. Then we meet, go over consents and paperwork, and then get started on setting goals and a treatment plan right away.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Masters Degree in Education M.Ed. I have extensive training in many areas and have been in private practice for 13 years. I enjoy working with all my clients, but seem to have a niche for couples, both traditional and alternative types of relationships. I am an LGBTQIA2S ally and a sex positive therapist. I have many resources to help you if I don't have the expertise.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I accept all insurances and my self pay amount is 160.00 per hour. I am able to refer you to other therapists in the practice that accept clients on a sliding fee scale.
