I can prepare a tax return in a number of ways.
1) "IN OFFICE" appointment is a traditional tax appointment where you bring your tax information to my office and we go through your documents. Generally you would only need to come to the office once, because if I need additional information, you can just call my office or email me the documents. Once the return is complete, I can mail/email your copy and then I can EFILE your tax return. Although this is what most of my clients used to do, it isn't necessary. Plus, my calendar is filling up quickly for the "IN OFFICE" appointments.
2) "HOUSE CALL" appointment. On certain days I am available to meet you at a location convenient for you including your home or work. You would have any documents needed for me to prepare the forms, and generally would only need to meet in person once, because if I need additional information, you can just call my office or email me the documents. Once the return is complete, I can mail/email your copy and then I can EFILE your tax return.
3) "VIRTUAL TAX APPOINTMENT" is a tax appointment where we pick a day and time and by way of Phone or Video Chat we can go through the documents. (You would mail, fax or email the documents beforehand) This is very popular way to do the appointment as if there is something I still need, you are typically in a position to get the info to me quicker. I would still be able to give you an estimated calculation, and you would not need to worry about weather coming to Big Lake.
4) "MAIL IN" I have been doing taxes for many years, and I always offer for my clients to just send me their tax information. This is a great option for returns that are pretty typical from one year to the next and there is never a need to pick a day and time for me to calculate the return. Depending when I receive the information, once I have gone through the documents, I will call/email you with your tax results and/or request any additional information I might need. This has become the most common way my clients file.
I've been doing taxes since 2002 and I'm an Enrolled Agent. I started my own tax practice in Orange County, CA and relocated to Big Lake, MN in 2016. I prepare all types of tax returns including individuals, business, estate and trusts, gifts and others. I have the heart of a teacher and use it to help my clients understand their tax returns and things they can do to achieve their goals.
Your tax needs are very important to me and I look forward to speaking to you soon
