About
Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have forms on my website that may be filled out prior to the appointment to save time. Our initial session will include assessing your level of anxiety and depression, along with self-concept. It is a warm, caring environment that you will find comfortable and somewhere you can talk freely and know that your feelings are safe.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Master's Degree is in Professional Counseling and I am licensed by the State of Michigan. My Ph.D. in Psychology will be completed in May of 2018.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not take insurances at this time. Due to this, I have a discounted cash price of $50 per session. Sessions last 50-55 minutes.
How did you get started in this business?
I spent years in retail management, but also as a leader in youth ministry. I enjoyed the counseling aspect with families and teenagers, leading to a career change and a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a large variety of problems, including anger, depression, anxiety, court ordered therapy, marriage, relationships, parenting, bi-polar issues, teenage problems, addictions, self-harm, and just about anything else you can think of.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The most important aspect of therapy is your connection to the therapist. Some therapists believe that it is the theory that matters, not bonding with the client. I believe that you have to build a trusting relationship where the client feels safe and knows that the therapist is actively engaged in wanting what is best for the client.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If the client would like to, I recommend making a list of questions and/or goals to bring with you to share with me.
