About this pro

Asking for help can be a difficult and frightening process. For some, this means being vulnerable and touches parts of themselves they prefer to keep hidden or buried. In my work, I strive to create a safe space where individuals can take a breath and be accepted for who they are and where they are at in that moment.

I consider it a privilege to work with people who are struggling with difficult life circumstances or challenges. We live in a chaotic world where individuals are often not truly heard and understood. My training and experience has focused on learning to truly and deeply listen. I have worked extensively with trauma, grief and loss and chronic illness. I have also had additional training in working with couples facing difficulties in any stage of their relationship. I value the therapeutic relationship and our work together will be based on empathy, trust and respect.

Individuals seeking therapy reach out via email or phone. Our staff completes a brief assessment and schedules individual for an in person or online initial appointment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Master's Degree from Wayne State University and over 35 years of clinical experience.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My practice accepts most major insurances and we bill out of network claims. Session rates are $130-$150. We do offer a sliding scale for those with financial need.

How did you get started in this business?

I have always been a "helper" and knew that I was destined to work with individuals who were struggling.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with individuals, families, couples and groups.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I know many of us have found the pandemic very challenging. I have worked with many people who have suffered multiple losses and yet have been able to find an inner strength and resilence that has helped them come out stronger and more confident.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Therapy is all about the relationship and this has to be a "good fit". I always advise people not to be afraid to shop around and find someone that they feel really hears them.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

I encourage peple to ask therapists about the treatmentment modailties they use as well as their overall thoughts about therapy.
