About

As someone who has survived sustained trauma, battling Complex PTSD, ADHD, anxiety and depression, and debilitating social and behavioral patterns as a result, I am uniquely empowered to understand my clients' experiences, their unique challenges, and their goals.

Coming to my practice with certifications in trauma and addiction counseling, 8 years of experience as a behavioral therapist, as well as a lifetime of experience in trauma, dysfunction, and recovery I am prepared to greet my clients with compassion, understanding, and practical tools to enable growth, recovery, and healing from trauma, behavioral dysfunction, social anxiety, and addiction. I'm also a certified yoga instructor and meditation coach, and I have received certifications in Social-Emotional Learning and non violent communication.

In my free time I enjoy reading, exploring my passion for philosophy, playing guitar, hiking with my loving partner, and exploring my creativity while nurturing my own inner child.

    Frequently asked questions

My first session with a new client is always free, so you can determine whether or not I am a good fit in your growth and recovery process. I will send intake forms ahead of time, which will include a standard coaching agreement, income verification forms to establish your rate on my sliding scale, as well as a behavioral health assessment to prepare me for our first session together. In our first session, we will establish what your goals are, what you believe your challenges are, and what strengths you're bringing to the process. You will have the opportunity to disclose any details you feel are relevant, and to voice any concerns you have.

Certified through the National Board of Addiction Recovery Professionals as Trauma, Abuse, and Addiction Coach. Certified Yoga Instuctor, Meditation Coach, Social Emotional Learning and Facilitating, Wellness and Non Violent Communication through Breathe For Change. Registered with Yoga Alliance. 8 years of experience as a Behavioral Therapist. 7+ years of experience in healthcare and healthcare administration.

My first session with every client is always free. My practice operates on a sliding scale, so the cost of each session will be anywhere from $25-135 per session for an individual, based on your income.

After working in healthcare for almost a decade, and working in mental health for the last eight years, I have found my purpose in helping others improve their lives. Unfortunately, my experience has shown me that our healthcare system is limited in what they can do to empower individuals and families grow and thrive, and I, as a result, was severely limited in what I could offer to help individuals and families. This is what led me to further my education in counseling, recovery, and other wellness practices, so I can use my skills, and my passion, to meaningfully create change in my community, and in other people's lives.

I have worked with adults and children on the Autism spectrum, people with ADHD, and people with anxiety and depression. I also have experience with people who suffer from sexual addiction or dysfunction, substance addicts, video game addicts, social media addicts, and other behavioral addictions, as well as adults who survived dysfunctional childhoods, adults who survived alcoholic or otherwise addicted parents, and who come from a background of trauma.

I would advise any potential client to meet with several professionals, if possible, before choosing a counselor or coach, and to choose someone they feel they can trust, who they can relate to, and someone with whom they can easily communicate with honesty. If it doesn't feel right, it's ok to move on. The most important thing is that you get what you need from your sessions, and that you feel heard and validated in your growth and recovery process. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding someone whose personality compliments your own.

    What are my goals?

What are the obstacles I'm facing in achieving those goals?

With what kind of person do I feel comfortable discussing my anxieties and fears? My weaknesses and mistakes? What kind of person do I think I can be honest with?

What do I need to feel safe, supported, and validated in this process?

How much can I reasonably contribute financially to my growth and recovery?
