Brian D. Kaider is an experienced intellectual property and craft beverage attorney. In the IP space, he performs clearance searches, prosecutes patent and trademark applications, and advises clients on IP portfolio development and management. Mr. Kaider also litigates patent and trademark infringement matters. In the craft beverage community, he assists breweries, wineries, and distilleries with formation of their corporate entities, protection of trademarks, negotiating commercial leases, obtaining licenses and permits, and negotiating distribution agreements and other contracts.
Prior to forming his own practice, Mr. Kaider was an Associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation practice of a major international law firm. In that role, he represented companies in all aspects of patent infringement litigation involving a broad array of technologies, including; computer hardware and software, medical devices, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical devices.
Mr. Kaider earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Towson State University and his law degree from The George Washington University Law School. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
