Dr. Jen Yocum, LAc is the owner of Indigo Fox Acupuncture & Wellness and has over a dozen years of experience as an acupuncturist and Reiki Master. She additionally provides services in cupping, gua sha, Chinese Medicine based Nutrition, private or small group yoga instruction and feng shui.
Dr. Yocum is in-network with Aetna for acupuncture services, and many PPO plans for other insurances will also cover acupuncture. She is happy to check your plan for you. She additionally provides a 10% discount for all Lake Linganore Association and FreeZone Fitness members. Jen also works with financial need patients who do not have insurance coverage and/or who cannot afford cash based rates.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New patients will receive screening questions and intake paperwork, and then complete a 1.5 hour visit with Dr. Yocum, where she will review their medical history, complete diagnostic exams, and they will receive their first needle treatment. She will also review their treatment plan and expected results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dr. Yocum received her Master of Acupuncture degree in 2010, and her Doctor of Acupuncture degree in 2018. She additionally has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (1999) and a Master of the Arts in Experimental Psychology (2001), and was a behavioral neuroscientist working in many top laboratories in the areas of nutrition and aging for 15 years prior to shifting full-time to acupuncture.
