When Dr. Pulley was in college, she began experiencing sharp, shooting low back pain that kept her from standing for more than 15 minutes at a time. It was not until her mother brought her to a chiropractor that she realized this pain was not normal and that she would not have to live with it for the rest of her life. After a few adjustments, she was able to stand for as long as she wanted without pain - and the headaches she did not realize were connected were gone too! At this point, the seasonal allergies she had since childhood cleared up as well, allowing her to come off all of her medications.

Dr. Pulley had been attending college for Biomedical Engineering instead of pre-med with the intention of becoming a holistic MD or a DO. At this point, she realized that what she really wanted to become a chiropractor so that she could help people with her hands instead of drugs and surgery to provide the kind of life-changing care she had experienced herself.

After finishing her undergraduate education, Dr. Pulley went on to study chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. While there, she started to learn acupuncture at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at NYCC, finding that it was an effective complementary practice that allowed her to help even more people. Dr. Pulley decided to open her own practice in North Andover, MA, so that she could offer both chiropractic and acupuncture services.

Primarily Dr. Pulley works with adults, but she treats teenagers and children as well. It is typically never too young to start preventative treatment!

Dr. Pulley advises that you hire a chiropractor or acupuncturist that you "click" with and offers the services you are looking for. If you find that their personality or style of practice does not fit you, there are other docs who may fit better.

Your health is one of the most important things you have in your life. Do not go with the cheapest option just because it is cheapest.

You should think about how dedicated you plan to be to your treatment. Typically to address a chronic problem, it will take several weeks to months of consistent treatment to work on it. If you are constantly missing appointments due to the practice being far away, for example, that will slow down your progress.
