Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most client relationships begin with an in-person meeting or introductory phone call. We have a well-defined process for projects that begins with a review of requirements from which we develop a proposal. We then transition to a start-up call to review deliverables and the full project scope. Weekly meetings are standard for larger projects. Otherwise meetings are scheduled as needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team members have years of education and experience in our areas of expertise.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Projects are quoted based upon requirements. Terms of hourly services are based upon the scope of work required.
How did you get started in this business?
I was brand and marketing manager for a prominent consulting firm.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We do not have a typical client. We have worked with Fortune 500 companies to sole proprietors across a range of industries--from national banks to art galleries and regional nonprofits.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have been helping to coordinate the Annual Key4Women in Albany, N.Y., since 2005. It is an inspiring event that attracts 300+ professional women and business leaders across the Capital Region. Speakers have included Barbara Corcoran, Dee Dee Myers, Susan Taylor, and Bonnie St. John.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
There are many terrific agencies and individual contractors. Be sure to work with someone who understands and respects your visions and values...and can articulate how they plan to help you achieve your goals and the data points by which initiatives will be measured and analyzed. At the end of the day, the most successful partnerships feature two things: measurable outcomes and shared accountability.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I think it is important customers answer some questions themselves before even reaching out to a pro. Understanding what you want to accomplish and how you will define success should frame your conversations. You don't know what you don't know, so don't be afraid to say: "this is what I'm looking to do...how do I do it? What do I need to know?" Then ask questions. You will get a good sense about how much an individual or agency values you as a potential client by the thoughtfulness of their conversation with you.
