What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For our counseling clients, the majority are private pay. We take only a small handful of insurance plans. Please inquire.
Each new person will come in for an Intake & Assessment appointment to determine what Intentional Self can do for you. We will decide together if we are a good fit for you.
We then set up future appointments until you reach your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Rev. Dr. Sandy has been in public and private mental health practice for a combined 20 years. She holds an M.Ed in Psychology and is licensed as an LMHC in Massachusetts. She holds a Ph.D. in Esoteric Theology and is an ordained metaphysical minister (she holds weddings too!).
Dr. Sandy is also certified in Hypnotherapy (including regression therapy), Neurolinguistic Programming, Usui Reiki Master, Meridian Therapy, and Ascension Meditation Teacher.
Dr. Sandy is an Eastern Cherokee/Lakota Medicine Woman and Peruvian Pachakuti Shamanic Practitioner. She holds Shamanic healing sessions, Journey Circles, Talking Circles, Ancestor Work, Soul Retrievals, and she is a Death Doula (End of Life Transition Assistance).

Your first appointment's fee: $155
Your continued appointments' fee: $125
Please inquire for all of our other alternative services.
Insurance does not cover alternative services.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Intentional Self has worked with clients of all races, religions, spiritual beliefs, genders and ages (over 18 years old).

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our most popular event or session is our Ascension Meditation group. We teach you in a class format during the first hour and hold guided meditation for the second hour. You can come to either or both class and/or meditation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Advice: Always have a conversation with your future provider and ask questions. You want to know if your provider is a good fit for you. Usually a provider will offer a free consultation either in person or on the phone.
Intentional Self offers a free 15-minute phone consultation where you can ask any question you'd like, and get a complete answer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about what you really want to achieve through your provider's practice. What are you really there for? Do you need more than one service? If you're unsure, your provider can offer suggestions for alternative treatments or services.
