I have always dreaded tax season, furthermore, I’ve had some bad experiences with prior accountants. When I was referred to Barry and his team, I was hesitant and filled with doubt. Assuming the worst I prepped myself for the same type of service as I have had in the past. It didn't take long after speaking to Barry to feel that he was genuine and really looking out for my family's financial well-being. What sets Barry and his team apart from other accountants that I have worked with in the past, is that their focus is not just solely on prepping your taxes. His team was very thorough from the start. They asked if I had financial safeguards in place like life insurance and disability insurance. What my financial goals were; for example, if I was saving money aside for my kid’s future college tuition and if I had plans for future business investments. And no, they were not trying to sell me any services just reviewing how well I had planned out my finances. The whole experience was very enlightening. I felt that my whole financial portfolio was in good hands. Once they had gathered everything, that was when we then reviewed and went over my taxes. If you want a pop-up tax prep place where you go in and out quickly then Barry and this team are not for you. There's plenty of those offices everywhere. But if you're looking for someone to be attentive to your needs, to follow up on all your questions promptly, and someone to help guide you with your financial goals then I would highly recommend Barry and his team.

Jackman Professional Accounting (JPA) has two very applicable credos: 1) No small business left behind; and 2) DDIY - “Don’t Do It [Taxes] Yourself”. The first credo is truly applicable to our small law firm which with all honesty cannot be a large money maker for JPA. That being said, you would never know this based upon the quality and level of attention provided by JPA to our firm. The friendly and diligent staff of JPA is always gently reminding us of the need for information and rapidly turning around tax and financial related information once said information is provided. In short, we never feel “lost in the shuffle” or cast aside in favor of one of JPA’s arguably much larger clients. Secondly, you don’t want to nor should you attempt to complete your business (and in combination personal) tax returns on your own IF minimizing your tax liability is your ultimate goal. Let JPA help you as they have done for our small firm. In summary, JPA has been a great source of support to our small law firm and has helped to coach us along in the tax process with a tremendous level of adeptness and attentiveness. JPA is the Best!!
