R Scott Carpenter - Cedar Counseling
About
I'm a trauma informed clinician known for being down-to-earth and easy to engage and a good listener. I help people become more aware of how they think and feel to foster better connection. My strength is facilitating change by brainstorming a treatment plan that includes coping strategies and best practices to address low self esteem, anxiety, depression, anger, PTSD and obsessive thinking. I specialize in the important work of couples counseling and developed a communications curriculum. I'm also a licensed addiction counselor.
I enjoy teaching concepts and coping techniques to help clients get unstuck or validate and encourage clients to continue on a new path path even if uncertain. My training focuses me on one's self-concept and helping sort through ones beliefs to assess how one thinks, feels, and behaves. I enjoy most hearing about a client's success.
