In career coaching, I help individuals find a working path that makes sense for their lives, their personal preferences and their personalities. From there, we can make clear plans to achieve success.
I work with adults and professionals to help them better understand their work environments, identify roadblocks, and build a strategy that defines and clarifies the business issues and personal issues. We are all multi-cultural, we all have biases, styles of working and we each have a unique perspective. To succeed we all need to understand these factors in ourselves and others and learn to navigate these to achieve positive results and growth.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with or speak with the client to find out the core of the issues and concerns. Once it is determined that I can help I set up another meeting and together begin to unravel the real goals, objectives and concerns and then explore practical strategies to achieve results. It is like a "brain dump" where we sort through what exists (thinking, processes and patters) and determine what is useful, what works, what doesn't and build a strategy that will help the client move forward in a positive way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MBA from Simmons College, have managed 12 to50 people from all over the world. I have coached managers and individuals in biotechnology, software development, technology startups, scientists. I have designed and planned organizational processes and managed projects and people at Harvard Law School, Czech Management Center in the Czech Republic, Simmons College, IBM, Akamai and more. I have traveled to Uganda, Tanzania and Italy for work and study.

The first meeting/discussion is free. This is to determine if there is a fit and if I can help.
I then change $250 per hour if meetings are occasional or short term. Longer-term consultations are priced according to what is needed and mutually agreed upon with the client.
How did you get started in this business?
My goal as a manager in software development and education inspired me to turn my talents to individual success and life coaching. My goal for employees and individuals has always been to help them do their best and to succeed beyond their current job or situation. I am passionate about helping individuals determine their talents, skills, and styles of working so they can articulate these in their lives and their work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Software engineers, scientists, educators, financial professionals, entrepreneurs, career planners and those ready to make bold moves in their lives. I help my clients communicate more effectively and honestly while never losing sight of their goals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the coach or consultant you hire is a personal fit. Every client is a combination of personality, education, talents, culture, experiences, and biases...each is unique. Make sure the person you hire is ready to approach each part of you with respect and help you use each of these to create the life and work you want.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Are you ready to examine yourself and your patterns.
2. Define the immediate issues; these are usually symptoms of something more (E.g., I have trouble communicating with co-workers, or I'm underutilized at work, I'm misunderstood, I am not in the job I want, I'm not sure of what I want to do, etc.)
3. What does "success" look like for you as you work with a coach? Maybe you want to find ways to get your point across at meetings without being dismissed or you learn to bridge the gap in communicating with your bosses or learn what environment works best for you professionally and personally, or you are able to articulate your ideas to others.
