About

I work with individuals, couples, and families to assess and improve things that are interfering with your quality of life. My therapeutic approach incorporates mind and body wellness, focused on recognizing and reducing stressors while improving relationships, boundary-setting, and self-care. Therapy can occur seated in my Winchester Center office or walking on several nearby trails. I also conduct full psychological assessments for clients who are struggling with a suspected learning or attention disorder (or for those who need an updated assessment, for example, to receive accommodations). For more information about my practice, please visit my website www.walkwithmepsychology.com. I am also happy to speak by phone to answer any other questions you may have regarding my practice or the process of initiating therapy.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with individuals, each with unique life experiences and goals; I enjoy helping each client to increase their understanding of themselves. I see therapy as periodic with my principal goal of helping you to achieve your goals and end therapy with increased confidence and self-awareness. I truly believe that each individual client is the expert on him or herself. Therefore, my job as a Psychologist is not to tell you how to be or what to do. My job is to help you to see what you are currently doing and, through a process guided by your personal goals and values, to explore ways of being and interacting in the world that may help improve your overall quality of life. This dynamic process never looks the same way twice as each course of treatment evolves in a way as unique as the client with whom I am working.

    Frequently asked questions

When a client is interested in services, we generally speak by phone for ~10-15 minutes.  During this time, we discuss the client's current needs and I provide additional information/answer questions to help the potential client and I assess if Walk With Me Psychology might be a good fit for the client at this time.  If we agree that it may be, we will schedule an in-person initial appointment (60 minutes for individuals; 75 minutes for couples & families).  During the first meeting, I gather more specific information regarding the client's history and presenting concerns.  During this meeting we also discuss treatment options and, if Walk With me Psychology is the right fit for the client’s needs at that time, we will develop a treatment plan.

I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Child & Family Therapy, from the University of North Texas.

I completed my Doctoral Internship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

I completed my Doctoral Fellowship in Training and Administration at The Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA.

Walk With Me Psychology is a Plan Provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.  Since insurance contracts and associated benefits vary, each client’s individual benefits will be verified prior to scheduling an initial appointment.  Clients who have insurance or other out of network benefits, can request an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement.
