What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Informal meet and greet either by phone or in person to understand their tax situation and the make up of their family or business or both. To make sure that I understand their needs and that I would be a good fit for their current and future needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been filing tax returns since the early 1990's. I've worked in management positions for Jackson Hewitt and I've assisted several franchisee's with training in tax for several Liberty Tax Service offices. I've earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Adminstration with a major in accounting from MSU. I financed and opened my own office in 2007 with a clientele base of 100+ clients and most of them are Schedule C business clients in different industries from childcare, barbers, cosmetology, construction, truck drivers, couriers, landlords, agents, landscapers and janitorial services. But I would say my biggest accomplishment in the tax industry is assisting individuals with the tax knowledge I have to maneuver into owning their own business.
