How did you get started in this business?
I worked one tax season for a local chain tax firm that feeds on locations in blue collar, low income communities. I worked as a marketing manager and then the manager of one location. As marketing manager, I created The Tax Honey as a customer catch for advertising. After one season, and outrageous pricing to the consumer that I could not control, I left, took my Tax Honey, and went on my own. I named my tax business with the initials of my accounting business and ran with it.
I have grown from 20 returns to over 500+ customers who are always repeat clients.
