About
I'm Mia Taylor worked in public and private accounting, serving large corporations, high-net-worth individuals, small business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs looking to start a new chapter in their lives. One of the unique things about me is that I am academically, and field trained in the areas of tax law and accounting. I'm what you call a rarity in the field of helping small business owners like yourself. In the world of entrepreneurship, watching your costs is a survival skill. I help small business owners save thousands of dollars in taxes and relief from headaches. I help them increase profits by providing them with tax planning, preparation, and monthly bookkeeping. With this, I can help you track your cost, report financials, apply for funding, and give you peace of mind knowing that your books and taxes are in order.
I enjoy helping my clients save money in taxes and increase cash flow where it is identified.
Many of my clients do not realize the benefits that are available to them until after speaking with a Tax Professional. I coin myself as my client's Tax Strategist and Advocator.

How did you get started in this business?
When I was in kid, my father made a career change and decided to work in the trucking industry. He saw the trucking industry as a pathway to wealth and a means to propel his family out of poverty. He started out as an owner-operator hoping to launch a full-service trucking business. My father was an excellent navigator; before navigation applications were available for consumer use, my father could tell you how to get from point A to point B (including alternative routes) without a map. Although my father was an excellent truck driver, great with on-time deliveries and dispatching himself to the next paid load, he always seemed to struggle with managing his business finances, accounting, and taxes. As a kid, I always wanted to help; therefore, I went to school to pursue an education in accounting and finance and later in tax law.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with business owners who serve in the Transportation Industry, the Janitorial & Cleaning Industry, Maintenance Service Providers, Moving Service Providers, Attorneys, Therapists, Retailers (online sellers), Real Estate (investors and realtors), and Small Restaurant owners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A husband/wife owner-operator team who needed their accounting cleaned up and business re-structured to save in taxes. The bookkeeping cleanup took an entire two weeks to complete considering that they had issues in all 12 months of the year! It took no time to restructure the couple's business entity and set them up with additional accounts with the taxing authorities. My clients were happy and so was I...especially after getting them organized with their bookkeeping!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Working with a Tax Strategist will help you save money in taxes by planning through leveraging the tax code to your specific need. Planning is proactive behavior and therefore mindset is a big win when engaging a Tax Strategist rather than a tax preparer
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The question every client should have is one that provides them the most peace when they can imagine the problem being solved.
