I operate from a faith-based approach and utilize a proven tool (Life Innovation's Prepare/Enrich) to help foster communication, resolve conflict, highten sexual intimacy, and explore other key areas of your relationship. The tool is a springboard for any couple to build a deeper, more vitalized relationship.
I provide a casual, supportive framework for couples to initiate crucial conversations about their relationship topics that truly matter. We will initially meet using Zoom for an hour consultation (and continue if you are comfortable). No charge for the first meeting.
It is great to help couples. My wife and I have been at a crossroads in our relationship before and tackled the issues that could have left us stranded, feeling isolated, and polarized. So many couple are just tired, as we were. But then a crisis brought us to the point where we realized we loved each other, and that what we had was worth fighting for. I have helped other couples to get over the bumps that have kept them separated and opened their hearts again to the love they truly wanted.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask for a 30 minutes initial phone overview to get to know you and assess the direction you are wanting to go. Then we establish location and duration of our meeting. I also use GoogleMeet/Zoom for counseling appointments for those too far away and need help NOW, as well as those concerned about the CoVid factor. These meetings have been highly effective.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Life Innovations certified in Premarital & Marriage Counseling (Prepare/Enrich), 25 years counseling/coaching experience, Doctorate in Young Adult, Teen, & Family relationships, Masters in Youth services, Masters in Divinity, Bachelors in Pastoral Ministries, Ordained.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Understand that there are minimal insurance companies that cover marriage counseling and some state insurance cover only in-network. Be sure you know this before moving forward. After our initial (free) consultation, the future 1-1.5 hr meetings start at $50 in advance, plus travel costs/mileage. There is a charge for the Enrich Assessment tool @$35. I use Google/Apple Pay as well as Zelle.
How did you get started in this business?
Even in high school, other students/friends would come to me asking for advice or counseling. That good feeling of helping others continued with me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have helped pre-marital couples, married couples, those divorced, and parents and teens in their relationships. Recently, online counseling has proven more effective than I thought. Couples are seeing a difference in as little as four weeks with me, but it is hard work.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I saved for three years, until this past June, to take my beautiful bride to Maui to celebrate our 25th!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Since I have been in counseling and been a counselor, I know it takes all types. I know I cannot help everyone, but I do know I can help some. Most of the time, I hit it off with couples. But sometimes, for whatever reason, our counseling relationship doesn't gel. And that's okay. So don't feel bad or defeated if you miss the mark with a professional the first time. Your relationship is worth trying again ... and again!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
You should really be ready to enter into a new area of self-awareness, and that a mess is okay. You will need to be open to getting to know those other sides of you that have kept you away from the love you've wanted and can give. As we grow, those areas become more exposed to others and hidden from ourselves. Awareness is the beginning of good changes coming your way. A professional is a guide to help you journey the road ahead, and sometimes, in my case, can point out special things because he or she has been there.
