Let’s talk about your hopes, fears, and goals in moving forward to create the reality YOU want.
The best part of my work as a counselor is connecting with my clients and being a part of their self-discovery processes. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's slow. But it's always unique how awareness builds and growth/change is possible, if that's what the client is wanting. It's exciting share this experience!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually after initial contact, we set up a free phone consultation (10 minutes), allowing the prospective client to describe what she is hoping to get out of counseling, and ask any questions she might have before scheduling an Initial Assessment (IA). The IA is 90 minutes in length, compared to the typical 50-minute counseling session thereafter. We will schedule a time, usually within 1-2 weeks, and the client will be directed to a website to fill out paperwork. Once the paperwork comes through on my end, I can email a Zoom invitation for the IA. It's all pretty convenient and easy!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Butler University, graduating with Honors, Cum Laude. My Masters of Science in Counseling is from Indiana University at IUPUI. Since finishing my Masters, I've gained valuable work experience as a counselor at St. Vincent Stress Center as well as in private practice through Christian Theological Seminary's Counseling Center (current), where we continue to work virtually through Zoom until a vaccine for COVID-19 is readily available.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $99/session, and I offer a sliding scale based on financial need.
How did you get started in this business?
I suppose I've always had an affinity for listening to others and helping however I could. After college, I worked at the American Cancer Society, more in a social worker type role helping persons with cancer and their families. During those years, I started my Masters program, attending night classes while working at ACS during the day. After completing my practicum and internships at St. Vincent Stress Center, I was hired as a full-time therapist after finishing my masters.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Adolescents, Adults, Couples
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for a counselor who offers a free phone consultation - it will help put you to get a feel for the counselor, and whether or not you feel comfortable moving forward.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you looking for depth work that might spend a good deal of time talking about experiences from the past, or are you looking for more here-and-now concentration, helping you to gain clarity about a particular issue so you can move forward more effectively?
