About this pro

When Dr. Pepping decided to enter the health field, it was with physical therapy in mind. The competitive nature of enrollment in these programs made her start exploring other options. When she discovered chiropractic, it was with the realization that it integrated aspects of physical therapy with many more advantages: helping people in a hands-on, natural way, offering numerous services and creating a business that matched up with her own vision.

Dr. Pepping studied at National University in Lombard, Illinois to obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic. While there, she worked for chiropractors, including the one she would later purchase DuPage Healthcare Ltd. from. This practitioner taught her several different chiropractic techniques, strongly influencing the way she practices today.

She is certified in the McKenzie Technique, a method commonly utilized by physical therapists to assist with low back problems.

“I truly believe that God created these incredible bodies to be able to heal themselves. If we take care of our spines, we can be healthy.”

Dr. Sally Pepping lives and breathes the wellness lifestyle.  Her experience currently raising five kids and a family driven practice affords her a genuine prospective as what todays families are looking for.

As the clinic director since 1998 of the most results driven practice, she is always on the cutting edge of nutrition, spinal correction, and all things healthy. Her life is lived in the shoes of others who are simply looking for a better way to better health.

After losing so many of her family members to diseases that could have been prevented, she realized that if someone had taken the time to teach her then what she knows today-they would still be here. She wants to be that “someone” for you.

I've learned how to better take care of my spine and overall health with proper exercise. I now go every other week for adjustment and monthly for a massage. I look at this as upkeep of my spinal health, just as going to a gym for exercise is good upkeep of one's body. Dr. Pepping's practice helps all ages!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A patient’s first visit at our office is all about the patient.  I want to have the time to really listen to what is going on with you, how you got there, and how it is affecting your quality of life.

A chiropractic examination is then performed followed by digital motion x rays (if medically necessary).

After giving you some "homework" such as exercises and advice to help give you some relief, you will schedule to return within a couple days to go over the results with me.

At this visit I will share with you my findings, my best care recommendations, and what your insurance covers.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Life!

Owning an office for 23 years has given me the best training of all.  Knowing what types of conditions people are suffering with, how our ever changing "digital" world influences these conditions, and how patients respond to treatment.

But on a more formal level:

1996-Doctorate degree from The National University of Health Sciences

1994-Bachelor Of Science in human biology from The National University of Health Sciences.

1992-Bachelors of Science from Northern Illinois University.

I am a certified McKenzie instructor from the McKenzie Institute

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

We offer the most affordable options to our patients.

If you have insurance, we will verify your benefits as a courtesy and let you know what services are covered.

If you do not have insurance, we can offer you a "Health Pass" which will include everything from your Day 1 visit up to your report of findings on Day 2.

If your insurance verification comes back with a high deductible or the cost is more than our "Health Pass" price we will offer that you to help reduce your costs.

We offer massage therapy and include this in most of our care plans.   If your insurance does not cover this service, we have a massage club that makes this service more affordable.

How did you get started in this business?

As an avid athlete I always wanted to dedicate my life to helping people and started down the physical therapy path which lead me to the field of Chiropractic.

At the time Chiropractic gave me the autonomy to not only practice physical therapy, but to be in control of my patients care.

Now I practice Chiropractic because it is the best drug free connection to help people's bodies to heal naturally.  It's affordable, and it can change a person's life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

After 23 years I could say everyone.

Babies, children, teens, middle aged, and the elderly.

Lower back pain, neck pain, numbness and tingling in the extremities, headaches, ...

The patients I enjoy working with the most are the ones who have lost hope or who have been told incorrect information.  These people have the most life changing experiences.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I have a newer patient who is 65, in a lot of pain, and was recently taken advantage of financially by another doctor’s office.

She had tears in her eyes and said that over the weekend she had 4 straight hours of no pain.  She said it was like a miracle.

Then she hugged me!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

A Personal recommendation from a friend or family is always the best way to find any professional.

If that is not an option for you then, unfortunately there is really no way to know if you have connections with an office or doctor until you meet them.

With social media and savvy websites anyone can look good on paper or tablet.

See if they have an introductory, make an appointment, and find out for yourself if it's a good fit.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

1.  How convenient is the office location?  If it's too far away it will be challenging to follow through with any care plan.

2. Do I like the services they offer?  Do you like massages? Acupuncture?

3. Will I be able to work with their hours?

4. Do they offer any type of new patient special?  This allows you to form your own opinion about this office.  The Dr. Patient relationship is so important.  Many patients will choose an office only if their insurance covers it.  Personally, I don't want my insurance to control who I see.  I would want to see who is best for me and work with their financial policy.
