About

We are a one-of-a kind clinic in Lake County. Power In Motion specializes in an all hands-on, osteopathic approach to treating the whole body. Where your pain is, is rarely where the problem lies. Pain is generally referred or made worse from one or more areas in your body.

We treat longstanding musculoskeletal injuries & strains, brain injuries, medical conditions, environmental sensitivities and conditions that doctors have told patients that there is no nothing more that the MD themself, can do for that individual. You do not have to learn to live with the pain. There are answers to restoring your health and well being.

The 'traditional' approach to PT has failed countless patients over the decades. Our 1 patient/ 1 therapist/ 1 hour treatment approach, has been extraordinarily successful for the past 23 years. Our business has grown and thrived due to patients referring their friends, family and colleagues to us, based upon their own successes.

    Frequently asked questions

Listening to you is the most important part of what we do. We take a detailed history of the significant events in your life that have contributed to where you are today. This includes childhood injuries/illnesses, motor vehicle & sports accidents, hospital stays and emotional losses and traumas if you're comfortable in sharing them with us. Our physical as well as our emotional injuries and illnesses make up and contribute to the picture and cycle of pain. They are not separate, nor can they be discounted in their importance.

We lare licensed and trained Physical Therapists. We are certified in a wide range of manual therapies that include cranialsacral, visceral mobilization/manipulation, lymphodema, cardiac rehab and women's health issues

We are insurance providers with BCBS of Illinois and Medicare. As a courtesy and service, we will submit claims to the insurance carrier on your behalf.  Ultimate payment of services remains the patient's responsibility, but we make every attempt to make sure that you receive the benefits that you are entitled to as outlined by your healthcare policy.

I was frustrated with the 'traditional' approach to PT. I was doing all that I had been trained to do and most patients were compliant in doing all that they needed to do to improve; yet in most cases, I was unable to restore them to a quality of life that they hoped for. I knew that there had to be more to rehabilitation than what we were doing.

Hands-on care has been proven to facilitate the body's ability to heal, self correct, regulate and restore itself to an improved level of functionality. I have seen remarkable improvements in patients because of the power of touch.

Chronic and acute pain patients.  Spinal pain and injuries, concussion and brain injured patients, musicians and sports participants with sprain/strain injuries, TMJ, migraines, Gastrointestinal disorders of all kinds, compromised respiratory systems, organ transplant recipients, learning disabilities, low vision, vertigo, whiplash and tailbone injuries.
