What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with new customers, I would first need to speak to them to assess their individual tax situation. Then if both parties are in agreement, I will send the customer a secure link for him/her to upload his/her tax documents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an IRS annual filing season participant which means you can higher me with peace of mind that you are hiring a competent tax preparer. I have a bachelors degree in Business and I am a trained quickbooks bookkeeper.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My tax preperation fees start at $175 for a basic federal return with state included, and increases from there depending on the complexity of the returns.
How did you get started in this business?
I was a tax advisor working for H&R Block. But before working for this company, I had prepared my own taxes and in doing so, I realized that I had enjoyed preparing taxes and decided to prepare them professionally.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with customer who had simple basic returns to those that had more complex returns with mutual funds. I can prepare any individual and self-employed tax return.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I woud advise anyone who wants a professional to prepare his/her income tax returns to make sure that the person have a valid PTIN(preparer tax idenification number). All legitimate tax preparers have to have this number in order to prepare tax returns with the IRS.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I would recommend for anyone who needs his/her tax return prepared today and is NOT more than 80% comfortable with preparing their own, to seek out a professional because the tax laws have become quite complicated.
