What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free initial consultation for accounting and tax clients to make sure that we are a good match.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. degree in accounting from Pensacola Christian College. I participate in annual continuing education classes and training seminars.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have standard prices for each tax form. So a simple tax return with fewer forms is less expensive than a complex return with many forms.
How did you get started in this business?
I started doing taxes for a few friends out of my home. I decided that I enjoyed doing taxes so I started advertising and built up a business!

I work with customers from all industries.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was an accountant for Heights Finance Corporation for over 22 years. During that time I also operated Brooks Accounting & Tax Service out of our home. I resigned my job at Heights Finance Corporation on December 15, 2017 to pursue my dream of becoming my own boss. On July 12, 2017 my wife and I purchased a building in Washington to become the new home of Brooks Accounting and Tax Service. Because the building needed many repairs, we weren’t able to move in until February 5, 2018.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
