About

As our lives become more challenging and more complex, it's comforting to find an advisor who can cut through the noise to provide actionable advice that can be both elegantly Simple to understand and Sophisticated enough to help achieve a secure financial future.

My practice has a 3 C approach to planning. We provide

Creative solutions to common problems;

Coordination with other professional advisors; and act as a

Catalyst to ensure planning gets implemented.

Most of the clients I work with are going through a life transition--suddenly single, recent inheritance, impending retirement or career change, caring for an ailing loved one or adjusting to becoming new parents. These situations often leave them not knowing what changes to their financial situation should be made.

We work together to identify an achievable future and the appropriate steps to take to move them in the direction of the lifestyle they envision. The sense of clarity and relief of knowing clients are not going down this path alone is why I enjoy what I do.

    Frequently asked questions

We have a one-hour complimentary preliminary meeting to learn more about what financial concerns might need to be addressed, what planning has been done to this point, and what gaps and opportunities may exist.
The follow-up meeting summarizes what was learned and provides potential solutions that may be implemented, should we decide that there is more to be accomplished.

Comprehensive Financial Planning starts at $2500.  Investment management services are assessed an annual fee based on asset level.

After 15 years in title insurance and 10,000 real estate closings, I realized I had developed a unique ability to simplify and explain unfamiliar complex concepts using metaphors and simple sketches.
I decided to use that skill to help bring clarity to clients who were surrounded by ways to gather information and data, but were really hungry for advice and guidance.

Attorneys, accountants and retirement communities refer most of my clients who tend to be seniors and their adult children as they navigate the transition to a higher level of care.

Often the adult children choose to become clients as well as we provide guidance on navigating the financial challenges of being sandwiched between parents needing care and young adult children.

A recent client, "Ruth", when we met had 17 different accounts at ten different institutions--CDs, IRAs, Inherited IRAs, Checking Accounts, Insurance, Savings Accounts, Investment Accounts and Money Market accounts.  We were able to simplify Ruth's financial life by consolidating all of her accounts in one place, on a single statement and optimized her investment strategy to allow for lower fees and taxes, and greater income from her investments so she could live her best life in retirement.

Look for a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) designation to ensure the advisor puts your best interests first.

You wouldn't trust a doctor who suggested a prescription before fully diagnosing your conditions.  If an "advisor" leads with products, or strategies without doing a comprehensive review of where you are and what you are trying to accomplish, find someone else.

A financial advisor relationship should be as intimate as any other professional you work with.  The more the advisor knows about your financial life, the better they can build a plan that meets your needs.
If you don't feel comfortable sharing all the details with them, then they're likely not the right fit for you.  Keeping information from them may result in less than ideal outcomes for both of you.
