What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have an introductory call, if there seems to be a match, we sign an NDA and discuss the project in detail. From there,we put together or the customer provides a Statement of Work describing what needs to be done, we price it and if agreed, both sides sign, and we get started. We also sign an MSA (Master Services Agreement) which has all the boiler-plate legal stuff.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of our employees have BS or MS in Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and other software development or engineering disciplines. In all, we have a few hundreds of years of combined product development experience. Our background is mobile phone engineering/design from the beginning of the industry; we then did a startup that created the camera-phone industry (before phones had color); designed GPS trackers and other IoT devices, Wireless Fire Alarm systems, Indoor location systems, Access Control Systems, Augmented Reality Technology and much more.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for a company that has experience getting to the finish line; one that shares your values of quality and customer satisfaction; one that will be a match with yours for the long-term not just one project. Look for a company with expertise beyond the primary skills required, so they can be a true partner and help you think through challenges and leverage their expertise to your favor vs. one that will just implement what you tell them.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Do we need a developer or a development partner?
2. What are the must-have requirements?
3. What is the budget?
4. Do I need the project done in the US or is it ok for some or all of the project to be done abroad?
5. Where can we be flexible: Cost, Speed, or Quality? All three are needed in balance, but only two of them can be the most important, and Quality is one of them.
