Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a conversation so we can meet, discuss your business needs, and then we make recommendations to propel you forward.
We are transparent in our work by utilizing an online system so you can check the progress of your project at any time. Talk to us anytime via Slack or the project portal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 20 years of experience building websites so we're confident we can get yours running perfectly. We're skilled in development, SEO of all aspects, and project management.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is tailored to your project to give you the most value for your budget. We were once a small company and we took every bit we could get. Now, we want to pass that on by giving your business a boost.
How did you get started in this business?
Our founder started doing web work right out of graphic design school, graduating from an online school before they were even a thing. From there, we have pivoted from Flash websites to fancy "futuristic" website, to WordPress. Big Websites is the latest pivot in response to our clients' needs.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with lawyers, dentists, accountants, non-profits, associations, churches, athletics, and other types of businesses. Client's have brought us all types of challenges so we have experience in both brochure sites with custom design (cause nobody likes boring) to large completely custom sites.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We attend WordPress events across the country (and sometimes in other countries). We're also attendees of sales and business conferences - we feel that this type of training helps us help our clients get what they really need... money!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to them. Interview your companies. Ask them the same questions and see what responses you get. There are so many people in the internet who claim to be experts but can't produce. If we had $5 for every client that brought us their agency nightmare.... wow! Go with your gut!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What do you want? What do you want from your website? If money was no issue, what would you want your website to do for you?
