What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Her therapeutic approach can best be described as integrative with a particular focus on attachment-relational issues to help patients understand the root, triggers, and the dynamics most likely maintaining the individual’s distress. She incorporates evidence-informed care, such as, Mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Therapy to provide individualized interventions that best fit the needs of the patient.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dr. Pagan-Romney has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She obtained a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, and prior, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Universidad del Turabo in Puerto Rico. She has worked in interdisciplinary teams in hospitals, community mental health organizations, outpatient, and school settings.
She has well-rounded experience conducting psychological assessments, individual, couples, and family therapies. She specializes in individuals presenting a wide range of issues across the life span, such as depression, anxiety, developmental delays, stress, trauma, life transitions, adjustment, and family dynamics.
