About
Our mission is to empower individuals to live healthier lives. Our experienced counselors work with you to provide you the tools to gain and maintain your sobriety. We are a non-profit community based agency that is able to serve individuals who are uninsured or underinsured, providing comprehensive substance use, co-occuring mental health and or gambling disorder treatment for adolescents and adults. We have a special program for women and free childcare while attending individual or group sessions.
We also have had success with alternative supportive treatments to reduce withdrawal symtoms and cravings, that include Medication Assisted Treatment as well as cranial electrotherapy stimulation (using an alpha stim handheld device) that helps reduce symptoms of pain, anxiety, depresstion and insomnia. Check us out at renzcenter.org or on Facebook under Renz Center.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is to call our number 847-742-3545, press option 1 to speak to someone who will take your information and refer you to a counselor. You will be given all the information you need for your first appointment. I recommend having a pen and paper so you can write instructions down.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our counselors have at least a bachelors degree and a CADC, which is a special two year degree that stands for "certified alcohol and drug counselor". Most of our counselors also have their master's degree in psychology, counseling or social work.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We accept most private insurance, all of the medicaid managed care companies, Medicaid and Medicare. We also will discuss payment including a sliding fee scale based on your household income and family size. Do not let payment keep you from seeking services. We will work with you.
