What is your typical process for working with a new client?
We start off our work with a kick off call, where we go over exactly what is going to be done and when it will be done by. We will ask questions to make sure we are all on the same page.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our managing director is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). We also have two other CPAs on our team as well. The rest of our team has college degrees in their specified area of work.
Do you have a standard pricing system? If so, please share the details here.
We do not price work by the hour. We do our work on a fixed fee basis that we set up front so there are no surprises on your end.
How did you get started?
We started our firm three years ago with a focus on providing outsourced accounting services for startups and craft breweries.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with startups, craft breweries, and other small businesses.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a professional in your area of expertise?
Make sure they understand your industry. There are a lot of accountants who are generalists that will serve anyone, but each industry has specific accounting and tax related issues that a generalist may not be aware of.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their needs?
What is your desired outcome of hiring an accountant? Hiring an accountant should be more than just keeping up with compliance. Your accountant should be able to advise you where you need to go. Knowing your desired outcomes helps you know which accountant to choose.
