As a mother (of 4), and wife, my experience tends to help other people. Generally, the people seeking my help are in relationships and raising children. At this time, the solutions they used to make life "work," have stopped "working." What once was a manageable work/family/life balance has gone out of whack, and life feels more overwhelming than manageable. Some of the symptoms that define this unmanageability are: anxiety, depression, increase use of distractions: work, technology (phones), food consumption, ect. Our partnership is used to unearth the causes and conditions of the unmanageability and restore life to a manageable balance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first two sessions are reserved for getting to know the history of the problem. Typically, this involves discussing family-of-origin stories, memories and relationships. Once we have a good understanding of where you came from, we move into discussing where you want to go. What are you goals and desires for counseling? You completely direct the process. Since I have been working with family and children for 14 years, I bring a multiitude of strategies to get to the outcome you design and desire.

For those paying out of pocket, my sliding scale is from $90-$135 per session.
By calling 847-916-7976, we will navigate your insurance for you and let you know how much you would be responsible for at the end of every session.
How did you get started in this business?
We are all designed with a purpose. Mine just happened to be counseling. Because I am living my purpose, everything including my own life experiences, my schooling and work history all positively contribute to my ability to help others. Counseling is what I have been called to do, and I find it the greatest blessing!
What types of customers have you worked with?
My caseload includes: children, adolescents and adults who struggle with marital conflict, parenting struggles, anxiety, depression, addiction, bi-polar, and an assortment of symtoms. The reason I can address a wide-range of issues is because I come from the teaching field. Teachers are taught to tailor their teaching to the person in front of them. So, I am able to tailor my counseling to the needs of the client. People find my desire to know them personally, therefore designing a treatment plan especially for them both empowering and helpful.
