At Bawden and Lareau Public Relations, we work with great people and organizations to make sure our clients and their organizational narratives stand out from their competition.

Whether it’s evocative stories, engaging advertising, concise corporate communications, social banter or fact-based news coverage – BLPR can make sure your brand’s story gets told to the right people at the right time.

We work with managers and brands who recognize the importance of staying on strategy when it comes to talking with the people they rely on for their success. They keep the brand promises they make.

So do we.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We sit down with prospective clients and talk about what matters most to their business and what obstacles seem to be in their way. Then we review possible ways of overcoming those obstacles and the level of investment the client is willing to make in order to do that.

Using those parameters (scope of work, cost and timeline), we formulate a recommendation for client consideration. There is no cost for this service.

Should the client like our recommendation, we hope they'll hire us so we can put it into action. We document the engagement in a letter and review both the engagement and our standard terms of service with the client first before performing any service or sending an invoice.

It's important clients feel fully informed and in control from the beginning of their relationship with our firm.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Although our "open" hourly rate is $120/hour, clients who commit to 20 hours or more of service per month are billed at a discounted rate of $100/hour.

All outside purchases over $100 are documented and reviewed with the client prior to purchase.

Media purchases are passed through to the client at cost and time spent negotiating/managing media plans are billed at our hourly rate each month.

What types of customers have you worked with?

BLPR's principals have worked with clients in a broad variety of sectors over the past three decades. Most recently, our work has centered on healthcare, consumer products, environmental/waste management and recycling issues and entertainment.

Previous experience runs the gamut from public policy to higher education, from commercial/industrial marketing to real estate developments, and from high technology to social services.

We've found communications challenges really don't vary that much from business segment to business segment. Our strategic approach to branded story-telling moves the needle (top-line) and moves the heart inside the organization (bottom-line).
