Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have an initial consultation, whether via phone, email, or video conference. Most of our work is custom, based on the needs of the clients. For our tech services (such as interactive virtual staging), we generally request blueprints or floor plans in order to provide free no obligation estimates along with a report on how much the client could save from our services.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Although our pricing varies depending upon the scope of the work involved, and whether or not it is custom, our marketing work can be anywhere from $25 to $100 per hour.
How did you get started in this business?
This first came about from a sales presentation to real estate companies about a tech product which, as it turned out, was not cost effective to the end user. I knew of another opportunity I could provide which was extremely cost effective, and brought this to their attention. That was in 1989, and that project was the springboard for many more.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential and commercial real estate professionals, real estate investors and investment groups, builders, developers, contractors, and lenders. These are in addition to some small business consulting, providing services such as sales and operations manuals and business plans.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A real estate investment group I produced a multi-touch direct mail campaign for found a problem with their follow up process. I wound up creating a sales/operations manual for them so that everyone within the company could operate with the same approach. This led to my helping to create a separate web site solely for attracting additional investor partners so they could purchase even more properties.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Hire someone with plenty of experience, and that understands the importance of taking a marketing project or business plan from start to finish.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Is everything in place which will be needed? (Consider financing, staffing, logistics, timeline, etc.)
Is there a plan for success and/or an exit strategy?
