Mark Shukhman, MD
About
I am a psychiatrist in private practice in the suburbs of Chicago. My patients are people with problems related to mood, anxiety, sex, sleep, appetite, energy level, ADHD, difficulties with memory and concentration, addiction to pain medications, Xanax, alcohol, food, Internet, etc.
I am a neuropsychiatrist, tripple board certified, practicing psychopharmacology. At the same time, I perfectly recognize that in some cases, vitamins or supplements are working as good as medications. I also recognize that sometimes adjusting thyroid or sex hormones or adrenals can do for depression or anxiety more than medications do.
I let my patients make many decisions in their treatment, as long as it is safe and makes sense. I like working with patients who see their problem as a project and are actively working on this project, using me as a consultant.
