About
I understand what it is like to struggle with emotional pain, anxiety, depression and stress and how helpful it can be to talk with a professional counselor. Whether you are seeking help for a present day issue or want to heal from past traumas, relationships or losses, we will work together using an approach that is tailored to your unique needs.
It has always been an honor for me to work with people who are committed to their healing and personal growth. I love getting to know people on a deep level and helping them overcome difficult life experiences. I enjoy working with people collaboratively in order to discover the solutions they seek.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by briefly talking with the client by phone or via email about their concerns and why they are seeking therapy at this time. I will then ask for basic identifying information and insurance information to check their coverage. We then set up a time for an initial assessment which is one hour and conducted on line. During this time you will have the opportunity to go into more detail about your life, your background, and how therapy can best help you. I will make suggestions and recommendations at the end of this initial meeting regarding future therapeutic goals
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in counseling psychology, certification in addictions treatment, certification in EMDR and hypnotherapy. In addition I have many years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as private practice.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The majority of my clients use health insurance so the pricing is tied to the insurance policy. During this time of Covid many insurance companies are waiving their deductibles and co-pays. I offer a sliding fee scale for clients who do not have health insurance.
How did you get started in this business?
I knew from the time I was very young that I wanted to be a therapist. I was always drawn to explore what "makes us tick" and to seek to understand and support people in becoming all they can be.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Over the years I have worked with hundreds of clients from many backgrounds and walks of life. At our essence we all have the same needs and desires and we all benefit from having personal support from someone who truly understands us, accepts us and genuinely cares for us.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would advise a customer to interview a prospective therapist, asking questions about their training and experience. I would want to know if they had been in therapy themselves. I would want to know a bit about their philosophy and therapeutic approach.
