My name is Vadim Dekhtyar and I am a licensed acupuncturist with more than 20 years of experience. Although I first pursued an MD in Lithuania, I decided to switch paths to practice traditional Eastern Medicine. However, I feel that it is important to understand medicine from both points of view, and I combine both in my work. I love helping people and seeing them get better as a result of the work I do. There really is no greater personal fulfillment than knowing I helped someone improve their quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take a wholesome approach to health. Beginning with a comprehensive evaluation of the symptoms to fully understand your needs, I then employ a three-pronged approach to address health issues: mind, body, and spirit. I also provide guidance on how to stay healthy after you leave our practice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Despite graduating as a medical doctor in 1990 (Kaunas Medical Academy, Lithuania), Vadim Dekhtyar did not follow the traditional path of Western medicine. Instead, in 1991 he pursued a certification in acupuncture and embraced the practices of the East. Today, Dr. Dekhtyar integrates his knowledge of Western and Eastern medicine at the Life Balance Clinic, where he heals using techniques such as acupuncture, tui na (Chinese bodywork), and relaxation. Through these holistic and natural healing methods, Life Balance Clinic helps dissipate a range of health conditions from allergies, anxiety, and headaches to infertility, diabetes, and depression.
