How did you get started in this business?
While working as a broker at a large Chicago firm, I wanted to learn more about financial statements and enrolled to take courses for my CPA which I completed in 1989.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Individuals of all sorts. We enjoy small business owners and help them maximize deductions to minimize taxes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Clients often move away and are happy to learn that we can do taxes all over the country via phone, email and skype, including complicated split-income returns.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find a professional who keeps clients for years because of a great relationship developed season after season. And, find someone with convenient year-round hours in the unlikely event the IRS contacts you after the filing deadline.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Will you give me solid ideas to reduce my tax liability this year and in the future rather than just complete the forms?
