About
LMMT Massage Therapists are trained in Orthopedic Assessment and work to resolve the root causes of soft tissue dysfunction. Our Chiropractic Care deviates from the norm- every appointment includes a massage therapist assisting the chiropractor to provide the soft-tissue work that supports the adjustment. The result is that our clients need adjuments less frequently for both treatment and maintenance care.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Client's typically arrive early to ther first appointments to complete intake paperwork which takes less than 10 minutes to complete. The client and practitioner go through a detailed health history for most cases (clients seeking relaxation massage may opt to skip this). The practitioner gains an understanding of goals for client care and helps to establish expectations. The remainder of time is used for initial massage or adjustment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All Massage Therapists and Doctors of Chiropractic are licensed in the state of Georgia. Owner, Amanda Schoeck is also certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and holds a Crossfit L-1 certificate. Dr. Bree has additional training and focus in treating prenatal and post-partum mothers.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In general, we get excited when we are able to address root causes of pain due to the Chiroprators and Massage Therapists working together. We occssionally have clients who present with a case which would take much longer to resolve individually. When we can resolve these cases faster by working together, it makes our day.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Call and ask questions. Most people don't realize how much pain and discomfort can be relieved by manual therapy. If you are curious, call. If we're not the place for you, we'll try to help direct you.
We would encourage potential clients to expect practitioners be able to articulate the reasoning behind treatment choices.
We don't have all the answers. At LMMT, we will be honest in discussing our approach as we assess. We will share what we know and what we are looking to know.
It is never the pracitioner's job to instill fear as a motivator for care. In general, we recommend avoiding practitioners who do.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If you are coming in to start maintenance/preventative care, consider what approach you want for your care. LMMT has an approach which blends traditionally Eastern and Western mindsets. We address the body as a whole. We are happy to answer any questions concerning this so you can decide if our team is a good fit for you.
If you are coming in for treatment of a specific issue or set of issues, try to think through when pain or discomfort began, how you would best describe the pain, if there is any movement or postion which makes the pain better or worse. Start thinking about previous surgeries, car injuries, sprains, strains, sports played, etc. The more information you can provide, the better.
