About

I am unique. I keep my fees low because I no longer maintain a large office with expensive staff and associates. I communicate directly and frequently with my clients by phone, text, email, and face-to-face. I am happy to travel to meet a client in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

Every client is going through a tough situation, often the most difficult in life, and I understand and respect that, and I do all that I can to make the process a little less worrying and intimidating. For most, the law and legal procedures are complicated and confusing. Part of my job is to soften that a little and make those hard things a little easier.

Life is not easy, but it is livable. Some situations seem impossible, never-ending, and unbeatable, but they are survivable. I have assured nearly every client I have ever represented that when his or her ordeal is over, and it will be over at some time, no matter what happens or how long it takes, he or she will learn two things. The first: Who your real friends are. And, the second: How strong you really are; generally far stronger than you've ever imagined.

Of course, this is just my way, but I could be right. Enjoy your day.

    Frequently asked questions

First, we talk. or, I should say, you talk. I listen, make notes, and let you tell me whole story.

Second, I'll ask questions as I need to in order to ensure that I have every bit of information I need to help you.

Third, we will discuss what, if any, efforts have been made to address your issues. We may talk about different approaches to resolving your issues and what we need to do immediately and in the longer term.

Fourth, we'll discuss your financial situation and how we can accomplish the most at the lowest costs. I will advise of filing, service, and other fees that need to be paid to the courts to get your case started or respond to a case against you.

Fifth, you and I will figure out as nearly as we can how much the case is likely to cost, my hourly rate, or a flat fee, and how you are able to pay. If necessary, I am happy to discuss a payment plan and set up something that works for you.

    My education is as follows:

University of Georgia - Dean Rusk School for Graduate & International Legal Studies, Lumpkin School of Law, Athens, GA

           Master of Laws

     Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA

Masters of Arts - Professional Writing

    Atlanta Law School, Atlanta, GA

         Juris Doctorate

     Roanoke College, Salem, VA

         Bachelor of Business Administration

I rarely bill more than $150.00 an hour. I will discuss payment plans, flat fees, and contingency where appropriate and permitted.
