Dr. Hempel is a clinical psychologist specializing in biofeedback, counseling, and psychological evaluations. She earned her Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago, where she also taught graduate classes. Dr. Hempel has worked with children, adolescents, and adults since 2001. She also has experience working with a variety of emotional and behavioral disorders.
Dr. Hempel's therapeutic approaches include: biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness based therapy. With this eclectic approach, she individualizes each therapeutic plan to address each patients unique needs. Dr. Hempel believes in a holistic approach with a large emphasis placed on the mind-body connection. Dr. Hempel conducts evaluations to assess individual's strengths and weaknesses, as well as identify any relevant diagnoses.
