How did you get started in this business?
I was in Business School and serving on Active Duty in The United States Marine Corps. The base where I was stationed needed volunteers to get trained and support the tax office on base, so I volunteered.
A great sense of responsibility came over me each time I was able to assist a family or a small business owner with preparing & processing their financial services needs.
So, I studied more, trained more and prepared more so that I could help even more.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Individuals
Families
Small Businesses
Ministries
Non-Profits
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am particularly fond of 2 local events here in Metro Atlanta where my headquarters is located called "Taste of Acworth" & also "Smoke on the Lake".
Beautiful events in Cobb County, Atlanta with vendors, food, activity booths hosted by the Acworth Business Association where I am a member.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice is to try and gain a clear understanding of what is needed and ensure that the person or company providing a quote to you is prepared to take care of your specific needs.
Ensure that there is a clear plan & that the plan services the need or solves your problem.
At GBC, we deal with a host of different needs and there is no problem that is too big or too small.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. The importance of completing the project. How important is it to your family or business that it is taken care of.
2. What speed is required. Does this project need to be expedited?
3. Are you prepared to sign off and execute the plan or are you just getting a feel for the cost and the work that is required?
